I humbly ask for your support for my campaign for Ellis County Commissioner Precinct 4. I want to work FOR you, but I’m going to need your help. With your help, WE can win this in 2014!

I strongly believe that our government has lost sight of its purpose and is on a fast path to ignoring not only the voice of the people but also what is in the best interest of the people. I have personally witnessed members of the Ellis County Commissioners’ Court vote in direct contrast on issues that a clear majority of interested residents opposed. The majority of our county commissioners have shown complete disregard for the opinions of constituents and have voted against the best interests of Ellis County residents.

Local politicians should work for you, but many have been working against you instead. My goal is to change that and return the power back to you. I want to work FOR you! I believe Ellis County residents deserve to know in more detail what business our county commissioners conduct, I believe Ellis County residents deserve full government transparency, I believe Ellis County residents deserve to have a voice and I believe Ellis County residents deserve to be heard.

This is your county and, when elected, I promise to listen to you.

I oppose all tax increases and will not vote in favor of any budget that results in increased taxes. The last time property taxes were increased, the Ellis County Commissioners’ Court voted overwhelmingly to fund parties in following years while the country was still experiencing economic hardships.

I will bring commonsense conservative values to the court. Tax revenues come from your pocket and politicians need to keep that in mind when spending your money. Every dollar spent by our county government is one less dollar in the pockets of hard-working Ellis County residents.
